Islamabad: The Collectorate of Customs Enforcement, Islamabad, achieved a major success in its ongoing anti-smuggling campaign during the last week of July 2026 by conducting a series of intelligence-based operations that led to the seizure of six non-duty-paid vehicles, a large quantity of foreign-origin cloth, and one offending vehicle.

The seized non-duty-paid vehicles include a Daihatsu Mira (Model 2011), Suzuki Alto (Model 2018), Suzuki Alto (Model 2015), Toyota Surf (Model 1990), Toyota Vitz (Model 2003), and Toyota Prius (Model 2011).

In addition to the vehicles, Customs Enforcement teams recovered a substantial quantity of smuggled foreign-origin cloth and seized one offending vehicle used in the transportation of illicit goods. The total estimated value of the seized vehicles and goods exceeds PKR 26.5 million, dealing a significant blow to smuggling networks operating in the region.

A spokesperson for Customs Enforcement Islamabad stated that the successful operations reflect the department's unwavering commitment to combating smuggling through intelligence-driven enforcement. The spokesperson reiterated that the Collectorate will continue to work in close coordination with federal and provincial law enforcement agencies to curb illegal trade and strengthen border enforcement.

The spokesperson further emphasized that the ongoing anti-smuggling campaign is aimed at protecting Pakistan's economy, safeguarding domestic industry, ensuring fair competition for legitimate businesses, and securing government revenue. Customs Enforcement Islamabad reaffirmed its resolve to maintain its zero-tolerance policy against smuggling and to continue taking decisive action against those involved in illegal trade.
