Uzbekistan Deputy Prime Minister's Visit to Pakistan Postponed at Tashkent's Request
ISLAMABAD: The planned visit of Uzbekistan's Deputy Prime Minister to Pakistan has been postponed at the request of the Uzbek government in Tashkent, diplomatic sources said.
According to officials, the visit has been deferred due to scheduling considerations on the Uzbek side. The postponement is procedural and does not reflect any change in the strong bilateral ties between Pakistan and Uzbekistan.
The two sides are expected to finalize new dates for the visit through diplomatic channels. During the visit, discussions are expected to focus on enhancing bilateral trade, investment, regional connectivity, and progress on key infrastructure projects, including the Trans-Afghan Railway initiative.
Officials from both countries reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation and maintaining close coordination on matters of mutual interest.
