Ahmed Iqbal, Canva's General Manager for the Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan, and Pakistan, has said that the company would like to support the rebranding of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA). He added that Canva is trying to connect with PIA's leadership to discuss the proposal. In a post on LinkedIn, Ahmed Iqbal wrote that although he is not sure the proposal will succeed, he wanted to share it in the hope that his professional network could help him reach the right people. He reflected on PIA's history, saying that it was once a symbol of Pakistan's pride, excellence, and progress. According to him, PIA not only trained pilots from other countries but also helped several nations establish their own national airlines, making Pakistan a key aviation hub in the region. Ahmed Iqbal noted that in 2026, under new ownership and leadership, PIA has begun a new chapter. He quoted the new management's view that "a nation's trust must be earned—it cannot be assumed."
